"He watched his life pass before his eyes
In the middle of a hurricane
Came out alive on the other side
That's where The Other Side got its name"

In today’s world, it’s hard to know where to place our trust. With so much noise and information around us, we often lose touch with what feels right. But taking time to pause, reflect, and listen to our own insights can help us connect with a sense of calm and understanding. This is where being intuitive makes all the difference.

Imagine moving through a day with earplugs in, tuning out every external sound. All you would hear are your thoughts, uninterrupted and unfiltered. Without the noise of the world, you might begin to notice a quiet wisdom within yourself, guiding you to see things more clearly.

Recently, I took a walk through town here in Florida. We had just experienced our second hurricane—Hurricanes Helene and Milton, back-to-back. There was damage everywhere—homes, cars, belongings piled along the streets. Everyone either knew someone affected or knew someone who knew someone. But what struck me most were the conversations I had with people. We pointed out the piles of items that once filled their lives: furniture, photos, memories scattered in the open. Yet, as we spoke, something profound unfolded. I could see their reflections deepening, as if they were having a three-way conversation: with me, with themselves, and with a part of them that was reaching for clarity and acceptance.

These people were tapping into their own intuitiveness, reshaping how they valued their belongings and, more importantly, their connections. They spoke about their lives, their memories, and realized that it wasn’t their “stuff” that mattered. It was the love they felt for others—their family, friends, and even kind strangers who offered support. In that moment, their intuitiveness helped them see that what they truly needed was connection.

Through loss, they found a new awareness of what mattered most, creating a sense of resilience and hope. This experience wasn’t just theirs—it became a lesson for anyone willing to listen. By connecting to their intuitiveness, they were able to realign their values and discover inner strength they didn’t know they had.

Being intuitive isn’t only about going with your gut. It’s about creating space to hear your inner guidance and finding truth amid life’s chaos. We all have this ability, and we can start practicing it by taking a little time each day to be with our thoughts and explore what feels right within ourselves.

For anyone just beginning this journey of being intuitive, remember: it’s natural to feel vulnerable at first. You may feel a flood of emotions or want to cry as you see yourself and others from a new perspective. This is all part of developing intuitiveness. Embracing these moments opens a path to self-discovery, empathy, and a deeper connection to the world around you.

When we learn to be intuitive, we’re not avoiding life’s storms; we’re finding our way through them. And when we come out on the other side, we’re more grounded in who we are and what we value.

Today, I encourage you to take a few minutes to sit quietly and listen to your inner voice. Turn down the external noise and connect to what feels right for you. Ask yourself: What matters most to me? What do I truly need right now?

If you’re ready to explore your own intuitiveness, start small. Spend just a few minutes each day listening to yourself and paying attention to what resonates within. For those of us who have lost homes, jobs, transportation, or are left wondering about the next meal or shelter, this experience can be deeply humbling. Know that even in difficult times, there is safety in staying connected to yourself and finding joy in the little things—they truly do add up. Remember, one small step leads to another, and brighter moments can appear when we least expect them. Be safe, stay kind, and see the beauty in each day.
